A special mobile internal audit team of IDGC of Centre – Tverenergo division during an organized raid in Kalininsky district of the Tver region revealed a serious fact of non-contractual consumption of electric energy. It established that one of recreation centres committed the theft of the resource for an amount exceeding 13 million rubles.
During the inspection of the facility located in the village of Yuryevskoye, unauthorized connection of a 10/0.4 kV customer substation to a 10 kV line belonging to Tverenergo was revealed. An act of non-contractual connection was drawn up in the amount of 2,278.605 kWh.
"An application has been sent to law enforcement bodies for this fact. Employees of the security unit of the branch together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Tver region are conducting operational search measures to identify guilty persons and further bringing them to criminal responsibility," explained Deputy Director for Security of IDGC of Centre – Tverenergo division Denis Danilov.
At present, the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre has strengthened its efforts to prevent and suppress non-contractual and non-metered consumption of electric energy. It implies a whole range of measures aimed both at preventing theft among consumers, and at identifying the corruption component within the branch.
