IDGC of Centre – Bryanskenergo division has begun preparations for the flood period. The power company is implementing a set of measures aimed at ensuring uninterrupted power supply to the region during the spring high water. The supervision of the work is carried out by the Central Flood Commission established at the enterprise under the chairmanship of First Deputy Director - Chief Engineer of Bryanskenergo Fedor Kapshukov.
Specialists of the branch conduct regular inspections of power grid facilities in the area of possible flooding, as well as objects, buildings and structures that have been in the risk zone for the last three years. At poles located in river floodplains and subject to flooding and erosion, racks and benchmarks are being renewed to measure the level of flood waters. Inspection of foundations is carried out, if necessary, they are strengthened.
In all Distribution Zones of Bryanskenergo availability electric grid equipment for flooding, condition of access roads and means of loading/unloading for prompt elimination of its possible emergency damage are being checked. Full stocking of emergency reserve and readiness of special equipment for possible repair and restoration work is being checked.
Routes of movement and locations of mobile reserve power supply sources for connection of socially significant facilities, whose power supply can be violated by flood, have been determined.
In order to forecast and implement constant monitoring of the development of the flood situation and timely take the necessary measures in the event of its complication, Bryanskenergo has organized close cooperation with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Bryansk Region, the branch of FGC UES Novogorodskoye PMES - Bryansky RES, as well as energy enterprises of the border regions of the Republic of Belarus - Gomelenergo and Mogilevenergo.
Full and timely implementation of all planned flood control measures by the power company will contribute to the reliable functioning of distribution grid facilities of the Bryansk region during the spring high water.
