Tambovenergo increases reliability of power supply to consumers

IDGC of Centre – Tambovenergo division conducts regular work to improve the reliability of electricity supply to electricity consumers. An important place in it is given to technical measures, first of all - replacement of leads in households in the Tambov region with the use of self-supporting insulated wire (SIW).

In 2016 specialists of Tambovenergo replaced 2,103 leads-in, for which almost 50.75 km of wire was used. First of all, this work was carried out at the most energy-intensive and problem areas, including those where commercial losses of electricity and consumer complaints about the quality of electricity were recorded.

In 2017 Tambovenergo plans to replace 1,670 leads-in with the use of SIW.

The use of self-supporting insulated wire leads in households can significantly reduce commercial power losses, since it is here that cases of unauthorized connections to the grid are most often recorded. In addition, the use of SIW increases the level of safe electricity consumption and excludes cases of electric injuries.
