Hotline of power engineering specialists:
77 university students and 108 students of secondary specialized educational institutions of the Smolensk region had their industrial and pre-graduation practice in 2016 in the walls of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division.
To provide better training, recruitment and staff development the branch has concluded agreements on long-term cooperation with a number of educational institutions in the region. So, students of the basic educational institution to train specialists not only for the Smolensk branch, but also for IDGC of Centre as a whole - "National Research University "MPEI" in Smolensk - had their industrial practice in various services and departments of the branch. In summer students specializing in "Power and Electrical Engineering" learned the basics of the profession during their industrial practice. A pre-diploma practice for future masters started in October last year and was completed in late January 2017. The students learned the basic directions of activity of IDGC of Centre, the development prospects of the energy sector of the country, acquired the necessary skills for future work. The practice was held under the guidance of experienced professionals ready to answer any production issues.
The young people from Smolensk Polytechnic College, Vyazma Polytechnic College, Vyazma Railway Technical School and Safonovo Industrial and Technological College in practice during the year became acquainted with the future trade in Distribution Zones of the branch.
"Attracting young people is one of the priorities of the personnel policy of the branch. Accepting students for practice, we not only introduce them to their future profession and help master their skills, but also form the succession pool, select the most competent and prospective graduates who will be able to join the ranks of employees of the branch," commented the head of the HR office Alla Korolkova.
In addition to the practices during 2016 career guidance work was conducted with high-schoolers and students of educational institutions of the Smolensk region. In Distribution Zones of the branch open doors days and tours to energy facilities were organized. To attract young professionals to the industry in the Distribution Zones "Job Fairs" were held with the participation of regional employment centres.
As a result of activities in 2016, 57 graduates of higher and secondary vocational educational institutions were employed at IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division.
icipants discussed priorities and challenges facing Kurskenergo in 2017. Among them there is preparation for autumn-winter peak loads of 2017-2018, implementation of investment and maintenance programs, further optimization of the procedure of connection of customers to power grids, reduction of losses, prevention of injury to third parties at facilities of the branch.
