Engineers of IDGC of Centre – Belgorodenergo division were among winners of the All-Russian Contest "Engineer of the Year - 2016". The honorary title "Professional Engineer of Russia" was awarded to an engineer of the office of distribution grids of the branch Yulia Zelenskaya. The diploma "Winner of the first round of the All-Russian Contest "Engineer of the Year" according to the "Engineering Art of the Young" was awarded to an electrician for testing and measurement of the southern section of the diagnostics service Igor Erokhin. Presentation of certificates and badges of honour took place in Moscow in the Hall of Fame of Engineering of Russia.
Yulia Zelenskaya’s service area is organization and technical support of programs for repair of equipment of 0.4 - 10 kV distribution grids by own forces, facility by facility update of technical information, control of industrial activity of Distribution Zones, development of measures to improve the reliability of power equipment. Last year Yulia Zelenskaya was directly involved in the creation of crews to perform work by own forces for connecting customers to the grid of the branch. This contributed to reduction of the grid connection time and decrease of specific indicators in the cost of construction.
Igor Erokhin performed diagnostics of 35-110 kV electrical equipment at 65 substations of 35-110 kV, including the new 110 kV feeding centre "Nezhegol", designed to power a modern plant for production of lysine in Shebekensky district. He fully mastered the techniques of control of atrial discharge and software of expert programs for operational control of the technical state of power transformers of the TDM type (Transformer Diagnostics Monitor) and MINITRANS, which are installed at the 110 Substation "Nezhegol".
The All-Russian Contest "Engineer of the Year" has been held since 2000. Its purpose is to attract public attention to the engineering profession and raise its status. Its founders, in particular, are the Russian Union of Scientific and Engineering Organizations, the International Union of Scientific and Engineering Associations, the Academy of Engineering Sciences named after A.M. Prokhorov, etc. The competition is held in two versions: "Engineering Art of the Young" (for young professionals under the age of 30) and "Professional Engineers" (for participants who have work experience in engineering positions for at least five years). Staff of IDGC of Centre – Belgorodenergo division regularly took part in this prestigious competition and repeatedly became its winners.
