The Ministry of Energy of the Moscow Region sent a letter of thanks to Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division director Sabir Agamaliev. The letter thanks the Smolensk power engineers for the professionalism and flawless performance during the elimination of the natural disaster that hit the Moscow region in November 2016.
11 November 2016, the anomalous weather ("freezing rain") led to technological disturbances. To reduce the time of first responding and restoration operations five mobile crews and 4 specialized vehicles of Smolenskenergo arrived in the Moscow region to support PJSC "Moscow United Electric Grid Company". The first responding and restoration work was carried out in 15 settlements of the Moscow region for 8 days. Despite the difficult conditions, the Smolensk power engineers worked around the clock to re-energize homes of inhabitants of the neighbouring region as quickly as possible.
"Thank you for your response and understanding shown during such difficult times," says the letter.
