Senior high school students from Zmievskaya School had an excursion in Sverdlovsky Distribution Zone of Orelenergo

In Sverdlovsky Distribution Zone of IDGC of Centre – Orelenergo division a tour was held for high school students from Zmievskaya Secondary School. The event was organized as part of career guidance conducted by the company among pupils and students in the region.

The participants of the tour visited the technical premises of the Distribution Zone, where they were told how electricity was generated and supplied to consumers, shown how redundant power supply sources operated. In the classroom, along with power engineers, they tried to fix a wire of an overhead line on an insulator.

At the end of the event, the organizers told the young people about the basic rules of electrical safety, explained why it was dangerous to be close to a power line and transformer substations, as well as demonstrated CPR and first aid with a special simulator.
