Tambovenergo summed up the implementation of safety measures for 2016

IDGC of Centre – Tambovenergo division summed up the activity in terms of occupational health and safety for 2016.

Scheduled for the specified period safety measures were fully implemented. Much attention was paid to equipping employees of the branch of Tambovenergo with special clothing, footwear and electrical safety devices. In particular, it purchased 500 heat-resistant winter suits, 400 heat-resistant summer suits and 44 summer and 44 winter kits for protection against induced voltage. In all crews of Distribution Zones portable earthing kits CSZ-0.4 kV and CSZ-10 kV were upgraded, providing safety at work in existing electrical installations. It purchased four new simulators "Gosha" to practice first aid skills to victims of accidents at work.

In 2016, it also continued implementation of technical measures aimed at preventing injury to third parties at the Company’s power facilities. Construction and reconstruction of overhead 6-10 kV lines in densely populated districts and park areas were carried out with the use of self-supporting insulated wire (SIW), which through isolation provides protection against electric shock at accidental touching the wire. Additional warning signs were placed near power grid facilities, located near public places and children’s institutions, on the banks of water bodies in fishing spots.

Tambovenergo’s total cost for the implementation of the measures of occupational health and safety and ensuring production safety in 2016 amounted to more than 31 million rubles.
