To ensure reliable power supply to customers IDGC of Centre – Lipetskenergo division works together with municipalities for inventory of outdoor lighting networks in all districts of the Lipetsk region.
Currently, in the service area of "Lipetskenergo" there are more than 23 thousand fixtures and 780 km of street lighting lines. Their maintenance is carried out within the framework of 46 agreements in various districts of the region.
Conducted in 2016 checks revealed facts of illegal connection of street lamps, which are used in the absence of relevant grid connection contracts, power supply contracts with a supplier of last resort, and contracts for overall maintenance of street lighting lines.
In agreement with administrations of rural settlements and districts almost 9 thousand fixtures, which are an essential element of improvement, were included additionally into power supply contracts with the municipalities. To minimize costs of the administrations of rural settlements for payment of electrical energy consumed by such lamps, the power company proposes to replace used lamps for energy-saving ones, and lighting fixtures - with more efficient.
"Lipetskenergo" reminds that the organization of street lighting refers to issues of local government. Accordingly, in matters relating to a sufficient number of lighting fixtures, street lighting level residents of the Lipetsk region should contact the municipal administration.
