Best power engineers awarded in "Tverenergo"

At a solemn meeting on the occasion of the Power Engineers’ Day the best employees of the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre received regional, sectoral and corporate awards. In total, more than 130 employees of the branch were awarded.

For conscientious work and considerable personal contribution to the development of the electric power industry of the region honorary diplomas and letters of thanks of the Tver Region Governor, the Legislative Assembly, the head of the city of Tver were given to 35 employees of "Tverenergo". The power engineers received awards of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and the Regional Ministry of Energy and Utilities.

For active participation, coordination of cooperation in emergency and restoration work in the aftermath of a disaster during the November "freezing rain" 7 employees received awards of General Directorate of EMERCOM of Russia in the Tver region.

Corporate awards of PJSC "Rosseti", IDGC of Centre and the Tver branch of the company were given to more than 90 employees, who distinguished themselves in professional activities. Congratulations on the holiday to the power engineers were made by representatives of regional and city authorities.

In his welcoming address, Governor of the Tver region Igor Rudenya congratulated employees and veterans of the company on the professional holiday, stressing: "Your daily work is very important not only for the development of the economy of the Tver region, the work of enterprises, social institutions, but also for each individual. Well-being of millions of residents of the Tver region depends on the quality of your work. In difficult conditions specialists of "Tverenergo" every day solve the important task of reliable electricity supply to residents of the Upper Volga."

At the solemn meeting, First Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Alexander Pilyugin congratulated colleagues, veterans on their professional holiday and noted: "Energy is a special branch, which today must meet the spirit of the times, become intelligent and flexible. I thank the veterans of the electric grid complex, who gave us their experience. We, in turn, must maintain this professionalism and multiply it, employing qualified professionals, high-end equipment. I also express my gratitude to all the staff of the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre for their cohesion, synchronicity of actions, dedication and love for the profession."

The solemn meeting with the presentation of awards included a festive concert. It is worth noting that this year all the performances were prepared and demostrated by employees of the Tver branch. Some creative performances were presented by talented children of Tverenergo’s employees.

At the end of the event the year was summed up by Acting Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre – Tverenergo division director Vadim Yurchenko: "2016 for Tverenergo was marked by the 80th anniversary of the Tver power system. The year was rich and difficult, but in spite of any circumstances power engineers of the branch proved their professionalism and perseverance, showed calmness and endurance. We were and are a solid team, a team which will have to implement many more ambitious projects and bring great benefit to the Tver region. I congratulate all those present on the professional holiday and wish you good health, vitality, vigour and stability."
