Kurskenergo celebrated the professional holiday – the Power Engineers’ Day

IDGC of Centre – Kurskenergo division held a solemn meeting devoted to the Power Engineers’ Day, which was attended by more than 300 employees of the enterprise. Representatives of regional and municipal authorities, heads of energy companies and partner companies, industry veterans also came to congratulate power engineers.

The event was opened by Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre – Kurskenergo division director Alexander Rudnevsky. He congratulated those present on the occasion, and then summarized the main results of the work of the branch in 2016. "The past year was eventful for the company and at the same time tough, but we coped with the tasks set to us. Kurskenergo’s staff fulfilled all production programs and confirmed the readiness to provide reliable power supply to consumers during winter peak loads and low temperatures," stressed the head of the branch.

Deputy Governor of the Kursk region Alexander Demin praised the work of the team of Kurskenergo. "Thanks to the coordinated work of competent, qualified staff, Kurskenergo fully meets the region’s electricity needs, successfully implementing large-scale production programs, creates a reserve capacity for the future," stressed Alexander Demin.

Chairman of the Standing Committee on Industry, Construction, Transport and Housing of the Kursk Regional Duma, Honoured Power Engineer of the Russian Federation Dmitry Gurin in his speech called Kurskenergo a reliable link of the dynamically developing grid of Central Russia.

Celebration continued with an awarding ceremony of the branch staff. They were awarded by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, PJSC "Rosseti", IDGC of Centre, Kurskenergo, the Kursk region administration and the city of Kursk, and the Kursk Regional Duma. Total following the results of the outgoing year more than 150 employees of the enterprise received departmental, corporate and regional awards for their work achievements.
