During 10 months of 2016 IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division organized and carried out activities in the field of metrological support of production. 1,629 measuring instruments were sent for verification, including 351 electric power meters, 230 current transformers and 25 voltage transformers. 716 measurement devices were restored. To determine the actual values of the measured variables the accredited measurement laboratory of the department calibrated 227 measuring instruments for electric and magnetic values and 40 - for thermal and temperature values.
Smolenskenergo puts special emphasis on compliance of quality of transmitted electricity to consumers with GOST requirements. According to the approved schedule specialists of the metrology and electric power quality department monitors electric power quality with the use of special means for measuring electric power quality. During 10 months of 2016 the planned measurements were carried out in 410 feeding centres (10 kV and 6 kV bus sections) and 821 transformer substations (0.4 kV bus sections).
An electric power quality management system, developed by specialists of IDGC of Centre, helps avoid complaints from consumers on the quality of electricity.
During 10 months of 2016 the branch received 159 complaints, which is 3% less than in the same period last year.
Particular attention is paid in the branch to the implementation of technical measures aimed at improving the quality of electricity. During 10 months of 2016 Smolenskenergo developed and successfully implemented activities at 200 facilities of Distribution Zones. "The focus was on those facilities at which there were defects identified affecting the performance of the equipment, and in respect of which the complaints were received. The work performed allowed to improve the quality and reliability of electricity supply to consumers. The effectiveness of the implementation of these measures is confirmed by taking a repeated electric power quality monitoring. The branch works with customers in the region in terms of reliable supply of quality electricity, and monitors compliance with the established requirements to the parameters of quality of electric energy," commented the leading engineer for electricity quality of Smolenskenergo Mikhail Korotkov.
In the first half of the year Smolenskenergo successfully passed the procedure of inspection control of certified electric power to meet the requirements and confirmed its certificate issued in 2014. This is proof of the effectiveness of the measures taken and the result of the successful implementation of the "Quality Policy of IDGC of Centre" by the branch.
