IDGC of Centre – Belgorodenergo division summed up the regional contest "Belgorod Energy in the Mirror of Media". This year it was held under the auspices of the 55th anniversary of the Belgorod power system. 15 regional media were winners and award holders.
This year more than 700 publications and stories were presented to the jury. Dozens of regional and district publications, television and radio, news agencies demonstrated their interest and a high level of professionalism.
Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre – Belgorodenergo division director Sergey Demidov thanked journalists for their cooperation: "This year it was so fruitful as always. Thank you for telling reliably and professionally about what the power industry does today, and you do not forget about the people of our challenging profession."
The awarding ceremony was also attended by Deputy Head of the Department for Internal Policy - Head of the Office of Mass Communications and Public Relations of the Department for Internal Policy and HR Policy of the Belgorod region Tatiana Kireyeva and Chairman of the Union of Journalists of the Belgorod region Oleg Razmskin.
At the end of 2016 five mass media organizations were recognized as winners. In the nomination "For a series of publications about workers of the power sector" the first place went to the "Banner" newspaper, which prepared a series of essays about employees of Belgorodsky Distribution Zone. "For objectivity and efficiency" the victory was given to State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company "Belgorod". In the nomination "For social focus and relevance of publications on energy" the first prize was awarded to the newspaper "Banner of Labour" (Krasnogvardeysky district). "For the best creative solution for coverage of energy topics" the first degree diploma was awarded to Municipal Independent Institution "Belgorod-Media", and in the nomination "For attention to the power sector development" the winner was the newspaper "Path of October" (Stary Oskol district).
A special diploma for the attention to the region’s energy history and the people, who created it, was awarded to the newspaper "Belgorod news" of Publishing House "Mir Belogorya", for the search for new creative solutions - "News of Oskol", for coverage of social activity - the newspaper "Life and Times" and "Unity". A special award for promotion of energy efficiency and electrical safety was given to the children’s magazine "Long school break", awards for creativity and initiative – to reporters Elena Titova (Oskol.sity portal) and Anna Shamraeva ("Path of October").
The founders of the annual creative contest for journalists writing on the topic of energy, along with Belgorodenergo, are the Department for Internal Policy and HR Policy of the Belgorod region and the regional Union of Journalists. This year the contest was given the All-Russian Award "MediaTEK" among press services of fuel and energy companies and regional administrations, which is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation with the support of Press Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
