Smolenskenergo provided grid connection of a new building of the Arbitration Court of the Smolensk region

13.12.2016

IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division provided connection of a new building of the Arbitration Court of the Smolensk region with power consumption of 760 kW to the grid of the branch. The grid connection completion certificate was signed in early November 2016, and at the end of the month a grand opening ceremony of the new building of the Arbitration Court of the region was held.

Within the grid connection power engineers of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division installed a double-ended two-transformer substation type complete containerised transformer substation 2-6/0.4 kV with two transformers 1 MVA each. It is a new type of modular package transformer substations, which are used to power urban, rural, municipal, residential and industrial facilities, as well as territories of individual buildings and cottage villages.

The use of such complete containerised transformer substations allows dramatically to reduce the time of construction and installation work, as well as to further decrease the cost of operation by 4-6 times. The washable concrete technology makes it easy to clean the substation surface from paints. The term of commissioning of this complete containerised transformer substation and equipment was less than a week, thanks to the high degree of prefabrication of the substation.

"All activities within the grid connection of the facility were completed on time. It is worth noting that this project - it is a regular contribution of the energy company to the socio-economic development of the Smolensk region," stressed Deputy Director for Capital Construction of Smolenskenergo Sergey Tarabukin.
