Power engineers of "Lipetskenergo" completed repair of large power facilities

IDGC of Centre – Lipetskenergo division completed repair work on the next major facility of the Lipetsk energy system – the 35 kV overhead power line (Conductor) "Christmas" in Lebedyansky district. As part of the overhaul of the line its poles were repaired, 2 km of ground wire, 2 thousand insulators and elements of coupling fittings were replaced. This provided further improvement of the quality of power supply to consumers, including the region’s largest Lebedyansky sugar mill and other agricultural enterprises in Lebedyansky and Krasninsky districts.

The energy company also completed the repair of 110 kV power transformers at 4 substations (SS) of 110 kV - "Khlevnoye", "Dobrinka", "Naberezhnoye" and "Astapovo". The result of the repair was increasing the reliability of the above-mentioned power centres that provide electricity to consumers in 4 districts of the region - Khlevensky, Dobrinksky, Volovsky and Lev Tolstovsky districts, respectively.

In total, during the year the Lipetsk branch of IDGC of Centre carried out major repairs of 11 transformers of 35-110 kV, 110 distribution and transformer points, 43 circuit breakers and 44 disconnectors in substations. In addition, it repaired 883 km of overhead power lines (conductors) of different voltage classes.

The main purpose of the repair campaign is high-quality preparation of electric grid facilities for the autumn-winter operation period. Plans and schedules of repairs are made on the basis of an annual analysis of the technical condition of facilities, which allows to minimize risks of emergency situations and improve the reliability of electricity supply to consumers.

Repair of transformer substations, power lines and other energy facilities is accompanied by power supply interruptions at the time of work.
