Tver branch of IDGC of Centre went to high alert operation mode

5 December IDGC of Centre – Tverenergo division received a warning about adverse weather conditions, wet snow, as well as strengthening of the western and north-western wind with some gusts of 13-18 m/s.

According to current data of the power company in the territory of Bologovsky and Lesny districts of the Tver region there are a number of local power interruptions. All faults of power lines have been located and technological failures are being immediately eliminated. 4 crews of Bologovsky Distribution Zone and 2 crews of Lesny Distribution Zone of IDGC of Centre – Tverenergo division have been involved in first responding and restoration operations.

At the moment, in the Tver region there is a heavy snowfall. In the afternoon, at 02:00-03:00 p.m., temperature is expected to rise above zero, then again thermometers will show negative. Against the background of the temperature jumps it will rain.

Based on the forecast of deteriorating weather conditions Tverenergo set high alert operation mode. The around the clock duty of specialists was organized, back-up sources of power supply were taken from the reserve and tested, emergency repair crews are ready to respond quickly. The branch conducts constant monitoring of the situation.
