Belgorodenergo is finalizing the annual program of reconstruction of obsolete grids

01.12.2016

Power engineers of IDGC of Centre – Belgorodenergo division are completing reconstruction of grids in districts of the region. As at 1 November 122.2 km of lines were put into operation. In aggregate 49 urban and township power lines with a total length of 147.3 km in 13 settlements of the region will be modernized. 446.6 million rubles were allocated from the investment program for these purposes.

To date, the work has been completed in the villages of Teply Kolodez, New Tavolzhanka, Kaplino, Mokraya Orlovka, Lomovo and Sheino. The power engineers have optimized power supply circuits, installed modern transformer substations, constructed equipped with self-supporting insulated wire power lines, mounted energy-saving lighting fixtures and an automated street lighting control system, replaced entries in consumers’ homes. The greatest amount of work was performed in Korochansky district - more than 35 km of lines and 17 transformer substations.

In some localities, particularly in the village of Pushkarnoye of Yakovlevsky district, the micro-district of Lebedi in Gubkin, the work is being performed with own forces - by own staff. The lines that pass through residential areas, courtyards or children’s care centres are removed by the power engineers to a safe distance, long power lines are made smaller in sections by installing additional power centres. This approach allows to eliminates all shortcomings in the work of power equipment, as well as significantly improve the reliability and quality of electricity supply to consumers.

Each year, under the program of reconstruction of dilapidated and end-of-life grids about 150 km of grids are reconstructed in settlements of the region. Over the last five years they managed to modernize more than 2.3 thousand kilometres of grids in 180 cities and villages this way.
