Tambovenergo summed up the implementation of occupational safety measures for 9 months

IDGC of Centre – Tambovenergo division summed up the activity in the field of occupational health and safety for 9 months of 2016.

All planned measures for this period were performed in full. Much attention was paid to providing employees of the branch of Tambovenergo with special clothing, footwear and electrical protection gear. In particular, it purchased 500 heat-resistant winter suits and 44 sets for protection against induced voltage. All crews of Distribution Zones were fully provided with portable earthing kits CSHZ-0.4 kV and CSHZ-10 kV, ensuring safety when working in electrical installations. It purchased four new "Gosha" simulators to practice first aid skills.

It also continued implementation of technical measures aimed at preventing injury to third parties. Construction and reconstruction of 6-10 kV overhead lines in densely populated districts and park areas was carried out with the use of self-supporting insulated wire (SIW), which is due to insulation provides significant reduction in cases of electric shock upon contact. Additional warning signs were placed near power grid facilities, located near public places and children’s institutions, on banks of water bodies in fishing locations.

In total, Tambovenergo spent more than 22.3 million rubles on the implementation of measures to ensure occupational health and safety for 9 months of 2016.
