As part of the All-Russian festival #VmesteYarche specialists of IDGC of Centre – Lipetskenergo division conducted energy-saving lessons for junior schoolchildren of gymnasium № 12 of the city of Lipetsk.
Using a vivid presentation, the power engineers told the schoolchildren about what electricity is, how it gets into our homes, why it is so important in today’s world, and what to do to save it. The schoolchildren learned the principle of modern energy-saving lamps, calculated how much electricity per year is wasted if you do not observe basic rules of energy saving. They also learned about what alternative sources of electricity are used today, and which are planned to be used in the near future. Games and educational videos helped the children consolidate the information.
Promotion of energy saving is one of important areas of educational work carried out by IDGC of Centre. During the year specialists of the branch "Lipetskenergo" hold lessons on energy saving, publish thematic materials in print and electronic media, social networks, initiate broadcast of video and audio clips, are actively involved in activities aimed at forming a careful attitude to energy resources among the population. The company believes that only by joint efforts it is possible to preserve resources and to optimize costs of their consumption.
According to teachers of the gymnasium, conducting energy-saving lessons is an important area of work with the younger generation, since the culture of competent energy consumption should be laid in a person since childhood.
