Bryanskenergo is ready for the autumn-winter operation period

IDGC of Centre – Bryanskenergo division received the Certificate of Readiness for the autumn-winter operation period of 2016-2017. In a solemn ceremony, Deputy Chief Engineer for Operational, Technological and Situational Management of IDGC of Centre Yaroslav Yurikov of the company handed the document to Acting Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre – Bryanskenergo division director Alexander Kosarim.

The readiness of the branch to operate through the autumn-winter period was confirmed by the interdepartmental commission, composed of representatives of the regional offices of Rostekhnadzor and EMERCOM of Russia, JSC "System Operator of Unified Energy System", as well as the regional technical inspection centre of PJSC "Rosseti" and the executive office of IDGC of Centre.

On the eve of the autumn-winter operation period Bryanskenergo’s specialists performed 1,712 preparatory activities. They refurbished ten substations of 35-110 kV, 398 transformer and distribution points of 6-10 kV, 1,551.8 km of 0.4-10 kV overhead lines and 295.5 km of 35-110 kV overhead lines. They cleared 642.5 hectares of ROWs of overhead power lines from shrub undergrowth.

The branch held drills and exercises, including with the participation of the regional EMERCOM department, aimed at practicing the algorithm of actions of staff when emergency situations occur. In August, in preparation for the autumn-winter operation period Bryanskenergo’s experts participated in an interstate emergency training of electric grid companies of Russia and the Republic of Belarus, which took place on the territory of the Bryansk region. As a result of the exercises their work was highly praised by the organizers.

Subdivisions of Bryanskenergo are provided with required for first responding and restoration operations with vehicles (all-terrain vehicles, crew vehicles and mobile cranes), fully stocked with emergency supply of materials and equipment, redundant power supply sources. Crews of Bryanskenergo are provided with equipment, tools, devices and means of communication.

In order to coordinate work in the aftermath of massive faults in electrical grids during the autumn-winter operation period and interaction with the executive authorities and other organizations Bryanskenergo created a crisis management centre.

According to Deputy Chief Engineer for Operational, Technological and Situational Management of IDGC of Centre Yaroslav Yurikov, the preparation for the autumn-winter operation period in Bryanskenergo was implemented in full and on time. This suggests that the branch is ready to provide reliable power supply to consumers of the Bryansk region in the period of cold weather.
