28 September staff of IDGC of Centre – Tambovenergo division had a lesson on energy saving at secondary school #4 of the city of Tambov. The event, which was attended by about 120 pupils of grades 3-4, was organized in the framework of the regional stage of the All-Russian Festival #VmesteYarche, which runs through September in the Tambov region.
The head of the energy saving and energy efficiency office of Tambovenergo Sergey Pervushin introduced the lesson participants to simple rules that allow the rational use of energy resources and protect the environment. From the presentation on energy saving, specially adapted for young schoolchildren and written in poetic form, the pupils found out that the use of energy-saving lamps instead of incandescent bulbs, sealing windows and descaling the kettle helps significantly save electricity and heat. They can apply this information in practice using the published with the support of IDGC of Centre book-brochure "Energy Advocates", which each participant received at the end of the lesson.
Teaching staff of the school thanked the power engineers for the held class. "The conducted event was for our pupils a real treat. It is important that the lesson was of cognitive character, during which the children learned about the problems and the basic principles of energy efficiency. Thanks to Tambovenergo’s professionals for sharing with the kids so necessary and useful information," stressed Deputy Director on Educational Work Tatiana Nekrylova. And the lesson participants promised to share the acquired knowledge with families and friends.

The idea of the festival #VmesteYarche was given by the youth at the International Forum ENES-2015 in the autumn last year. This initiative was supported by the Ministry of Energy of Russia, Rosmolodezh, the Ministry of Education of Russia, as well as the Fund of assistance to reforming housing and communal services, winners of the prize "Global Energy" and other youth and community organizations. Within the festival in the Tambov region there are exhibitions and open doors days, as well as track and field tournaments and school sports days. Results of the festival will be announced at the IV International Energy Forum in Moscow.
