The Youth Council of IDGC of Centre – Tverenergo division took the III place in the category "Young Professionals Council - YES!" of the regional competition of working professions "Masters of the Upper Volga - 2016".
The competition "Masters of the Upper Volga - 2016" was aimed at enhancing the prestige of working professions and keeping the young skilled workers in the Tver region.
The creative contest was conducted from May to August 2016 by the Committee on Youth Affairs of the Tver region. The requests were submitted by groups of young workers’ organizations of the region.
Tverenergo’s young power engineers did a presentation about the successful work of the Youth Council at the branch and events conducted in 2016. For 8 months young activists organized the Charity event for kids if children’s tuberculosis sanatorium #2, interactive sites at the city festivals "Square of Good", "Kartonnik", the Day of the city of Vyshny Volochek and Vyshnevolotsky district. The organization of the sites meant holding by the power engineers of lessons on electrical safety and energy saving, active work with children and residents of the city in terms of popularization of the power engineering trade. Also in late August the Youth Council held the First Tourist Rally of Tverenergo. The event took place in the field at the river shore in Tvertsa of Torzhoksky district and included tourism, sports and creative competitions.
The competent jury and the Committee on Youth Affairs of the Tver region highly appreciated the active, diverse and socially important activities of the Youth Council of the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre.
Chairman of the Youth Council Vladimir Gorlanov thanked his colleagues, saying: "Winning this award would not have been possible without all those who took an active part in the organization of the sites and events. I am pleased to note that not only professional, but also creative, talented and caring people work at Tverenergo.
