Smolenskenergo cares about the health and working conditions of staff


IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division conducts its systematic targeted policy in the area of ​​social support of the branch employees and their children. As part of the summer recreation campaign for the children of employees of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division in the summer of 2016 it organized recreation in children’s camps in Smolensk and the Smolensk region. In 2016, 81 children rested in summer camps, at the same time, in accordance with the Collective Agreement, IDGC of Centre compensated employees of a significant part of the cost of the vouchers (80%) and for employees relating to the least socially protected categories of citizens the vouchers to the children’s health camps were given for free. This year, the children were able to visit the children’s recreation camp "Change", "Young Leninist", "Prudok", "Borok", "Krasny Bor". Some employees had two children resting in the camps at the same time.

64 employees could have curative treatment through programs of the branch, resting in the Tambov sanatorium "Energetic" and sanatoria of Yalta, Yevpatoria and Saki.

In order to protect health and improve the labour safety level the branch does compulsory medical examinations of workers engaged in harmful, dangerous and hard working conditions. Regular monitoring of workers’ health leads to reduction of the incidence of diseases, prevention of exacerbations of chronic diseases and decrease of the risk of occupational illnesses. Pre- and after-driving examinations of drivers are held daily. And vaccination of staff against influenza is scheduled in the autumn.

In addition, periodically psychological trainings for different categories of staff are conducted, which, in addition to in-depth diagnostics, employees get skills of safe work practices (especially in extreme conditions), in a difficult operating environment, and effective communication skills.
