5 September 2016 activities of the All-Russian Festival of Energy Saving #VmesteYarche started in the Smolensk region, which is attended by employees of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division. These days the power engineers are planning to hold a series of energy-saving lessons for pupils and students of educational institutions of the region.
Implementation of the project Lessons of energy saving in schools located in the regions of the service area of IDGC of Centre" started back in 2014. The branch of IDGC of Centre in Smolensk became the first company among the branches to hold lessons from 1 September 2014. To date, it has held about 200 energy-saving lessons. Sometimes events are confined to a specific date. Thus, 15 December 2015 at the initiative of the Ministry of Energy of Russia and the Russian Ministry of Education Smolenskenrego’s employees conducted 36 classes within the "single energy-saving lesson" in 25 schools of the Smolensk region, and now the events are dedicated to the festival #VmesteYarche.
The energy saving lessons of the festival #VmesteYarche are being held in the form of thematic lectures aimed at promoting energy-efficient lifestyles among school-age children. Young employees of IDGC of Centre developed several variants of game tasks and presentations for three different age groups: elementary schoolchildren (grades 1-4), for middle schoolchildren (grades 5-8) and high schoolchildren (grades 9-11). Classes are held with colourful presentations and game tasks made by the employees. The lessons are free of charge.
In addition, the receipt of works within the children’s drawing competition for the festival #VmesteYarche "How I save energy" has begun. The competition is organized by the Administration of the Smolensk region, a branch of JSC "AtomEnergoSbyt" "SmolenskAtomEnergoSbyt" and IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division. Everybody can bring their thematic drawings until 09.09.2016 to the local production department of "SmolenskAtomEnergoSbyt" or a specialist to work with customers of the local Distribution Zone of Smolenskenergo. Results will be announced at a gala concert on 10 September in Lopatinsky Garden of the city of Smolensk.
During the festival, from 1 September until the end of the month on TV "Friday" in the regional broadcasting for children and parents the branch transmits videos of the series "Let’s talk about energy saving": "Avoid using tee adapters and extenders", "Energy-efficient light bulbs", "No power consumption in vain".

The idea of the energy saving festival #VmesteYarche appeared thanks to the initiative of the youth within the framework of the International Forum ENES-2015 in the autumn of 2015. It was supported by the Ministry of Energy of Russia, Rosmolodezh, the Ministry of Education of Russia, State Corporation "Fund of assistance to reforming housing and communal services", winners of the prize "Global Energy" and other youth and community organizations.
The festival is held to promote the culture of careful use of energy resources and demonstration of modern energy efficient technologies that are used in various sectors of the Russian economy. The main event through the Festival is gathering petition signatures in the field of energy saving.
