Employees of Kurskenergo - prize-winners of the amateur creative review-contest of IDGC of Centre

25.08.2016

Representatives of Kurskenergo successfully performed at the review-contest of amateur art of IDGC of Centre that finished in Bryansk. Kursk power engineers won prizes in two of the six competitive nominations.

In the nomination "Vocal art" the first place unanimously, according to the jury, went to the Kursk trio performance: an electrician for repair of switchgear equipment of the central section of the substation service Dmitry Pobelenko, the chief of the southern section of the power line service Vladimir Sogachev and a safety engineer of Oktyabrsky Distribution Zone Victor Losev. Repeated winners of amateur art review-contests of Kurskenergo, they first gathered together in one ensemble and sang the song "Where a maple tree rustles". Thanks to an original vocal arrangement of the hit of the group "Blue Bird", the best tenors were able to reveal all the power and beauty of their voices, singing alternately roles by two, solo and a capella. All the three power engineers-artists are not professionals. They were never taught to sing, so they rehearsed not with notes, but with their hearing, rehearsing for two months. The result of this work became a storm of applause and cries of "Bravo!" of the audience and the victory in one of the most representative nominations.

The second prize in the bank of Kurskenergo was brought by an original musical duo of the saxophone and accordion performed by a specialist of category 1 of the administrative and household department Alexander Vasiliev and the head of the department of development and issuance of technical specifications Alexander Taratin. The unusual, very rare combination of keyboard and brass rod and keyboard-brass instruments required the performers to play a technically complicated program and maximum effort. And if Alexander Vasiliev plays the saxophone for the soul quite frequently, it was more difficult for Alexander Taratin. The last time he took up the instrument was ten years ago. For two months the musicians had to recall all the skills of a virtuoso play. As a result, the composition of Tony Renis «Quando Quando Quando» sounded in a new way and was rated the second diploma by the jury in the nomination "Instrumental creativity".

"For ourselves we have noted increasing every year performing and directorial level of colleagues from other branches," sums up the contest the chairman of Kurskenergo’s Trade Union Committee Nikolay Kalinin "Therefore, we returned from the competition with the understanding that we cannot relax and have already started thinking about with what else we can surprise the jury next year. Secrets will not be revealed, but we have some ideas! And it is wonderful that employees of our enterprise have the opportunity to express themselves not only in the production activity, but to realize their creative abilities!"
