Smolenskenergo increases the pace of grid connection of agribusiness facilities

In support of the development of agribusiness in the territory of the Smolensk region IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division is implementing priority projects to connect to the grid and provide additional capacity for enterprises and facilities of the agro-industrial complex. So, last year the branch connected to its grids 4 large agricultural enterprises in Pochinkovsky, Gagarinsky and Roslavlsky districts and small farms and agricultural cooperatives in Temkinsky, Gagarinsky and Smolensky district. Thus, in 2015 the branch provided connected capacity of the agricultural facilities of a total volume of 1.85 MW.

In the first half of 2016 the grid connection of 6 agricultural facilities was completed in Pochinkovsky, Roslavlsky, Novoduginsky and Gagarinsky districts.

As part of the federal program for support of the domestic agro-industrial complex the power company gives priority to the connection of agricultural enterprises. So, in the first half of this year the grid connection of farms with grazing cattle of LLC "Bryansk Meat Company» (included in the agricultural agribusiness holding "Miratorg"), a granary of CJSC "Troparevo", a pig farm of LLC "Bekon", a drying and sorting facility, a slaughterhouse, a dairy and a warehouse of the Agro-industrial firm "Our Granary" was completed. The total maximum power of the connected facilities is more than 1.5 MW.

IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division ensures the prospect of development of agricultural producers of the Smolensk region. Currently, the branch is also working on a number of projects on grid connection of agri-industrial facilities in Demidovsky, Dukhovschinsky, Kholm-Zhirkovsky and Novoduginsky districts of the Smolensk region. By the end of the current year another four agricultural facilities will be connected to the grids of the branch. Among them is the largest facility – a modular milk shop of LLC "Reson" with its maximum capacity of 148.55 kW.

"The power company seeks to maximize ease of grid connection of significant agriculture projects to the region in the field of agribusiness. In order to provide new production facilities with power in a timely manner, Smolenskenergo tries to fulfill its obligations qualitatively and in the shortest possible time," commented the head of grid connections of Smolenskenergo Sergey Lapin.
