IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division continues systematic work on prevention of electric injuries among children and adolescents. Its important component is training on electrical safety, which the power company does in educational and social institutions.
A cycle of such events was held by Kostromaenergo’s experts in July in orphanages of Buy, Makariev, Nerekhta, the settlement of Ostrovsky, as well as in the Galich boarding school for orphans. They were attended by about 150 children.
The power engineers introduced the children to the rules of behaviour near power facilities and warning signs placed on electrical equipment. Participants of the sessions watched themed videos and saw how to provide first aid to a victim with electric shock. To consolidate the knowledge they each received a gift of special booklets and the institutions, where the classes were held, sets of thematic information posters.
In total, during the summer, the power company plans to hold in different districts of the region about 40 studies on electrical safety and to organize together with specialists of the regional EMERCOM, traffic police and Interior Ministry 10 route games for life safety issues.
