"Lipetskenergo" picked the best crew of electricians of the department of electricity metering and optimization of losses

The winner of the first in IDGC of Centre competitions of professional skills among crews of the department of electricity metering and optimization of losses, held on 21-22 July at the site of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division, was the crew of Krasninsky Distribution Zone. It finished with a score of 917 points.

The second step of the podium was taken by the crew of Lebedyansky Distribution Zone, which scored 914 points. The top three was closed by the crew of Khlevensky Distribution Zone with a total score of 885.

The winners were awarded with diplomas and valuable prizes.

Competitions of professional skills, the purpose of which is to increase the level of professional knowledge in the field of occupational safety rules when performing work in electrical installations are held in IDGC of Centre annually. They are attended by certain categories of staff - electricians servicing power lines and substations, drivers, specialists of relay protection and diagnostic services. This year the competition was held among crews of the departments of electricity metering and optimization of losses of Distribution Zones.

"IDGC of Centre focuses on reduction of losses and prevention of theft of electricity. The most highly effective and less costly activities in this direction are actions of our operational staff. That positive experience, which was obtained in the competitions, will be replicated in the Company’s branches and subsidiaries of "Rosseti", and therefore to the whole country. The teams showed excellent results. With 950 possible points more than half of them scored about 800 points. In our work it is essential that the documents drawn on the basis of checks have to correctly made - in the future they can be used in judicial practice in debt collection for consumed electricity," commented Deputy Director General for Sale and Development of Services of IDGC of Centre Evgeniya Kabanova.

The competitions consisted of several stages. The first of them supposed test of knowledge of existing rules, regulations and standards with the PC-based software package "ASOP-Expert". In the second phase, participants were extinguishing fires on equipment of power facilities under voltage up to 0.4 kV. The third included targets for the provision of first aid to the victim by the CPR on dummy simulator. During the fourth stage the power engineers performed an instrumental check of three-phase direct connection metering devices. At the fifth - the replacement of a single-phase metering device, obviously defective or found to be out of order. In the sixth, non-competitive stage, the inspectors passed psychophysiological examination.

The quality performance of tasks, equipment of the crews with special clothing, protective gear, instruments, tools, and documentation, as well as the accuracy and efficiency of the algorithm of actions, the ability to correctly and competently report on their activities during the work were evaluated by a judging panel.

"We became the winners not easily. Excitement and high level of responsibility for the outcome pressed us. I thank my crew for the professionalism - it is, first of all, their victory," commented the head of the winning crew, deputy head of for sale of services of Krasninsky Distribution Zone Oleg Osyaev.

"The youngest competitor", namely an electrician for operation of electricity meters of the department of metering and optimization of losses from Volovsky Distribution Zone Alexander Shalobaev, was paid attention to. In the nomination "The most experienced participant" a master of the department of metering and optimization of losses of Zadonsky Distribution Zone Vyacheslav Boev was marked. Deserved award was received by an electrician for operation of electricity meters of the department of metering and optimization of losses from Dobrovsky Distribution Zone Vyacheslav Sukhikh, who demonstrated the "Highest calmness under pressure".
