IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division conducts systematic work to create conditions for housing construction development in the Smolensk region. In the first half of 2016 it completed the connection to the grid of eight apartment houses in the city of Vyazma, Smolensk and Smolensk district.
In particular, Smolenskenergo’s power engineers completed the work on grid connection of two ten-storeyed houses in the village of Novoseltsy and Altukhovka and a five-storeyed house in the village of Kiselevka, which will provide housing for more than 350 families. Smolenskenergo connected another ten-storeyed house to the grid in the residential neighbourhood "New Smolensk" (small town of Milovidovo). The total capacity of the grid connection in Smolensk district was about 1.45 MW.
In the city of Smolensk in May-June the work on grid connection of high-rise buildings on Krasninsky highway and Nakhimov street was completed. In the city of Vyazma electricity was provided to new buildings on Krasnoarmeyskoye highway street and Polzunov street in Vyazma. The total capacity of the connected buildings in the two largest cities of the region amounted to 733.5 kW.
