Tambovenergo continues the work to prevent children’s electric injuries during the summer holidays

Employees of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division continue conducting in children’s summer camps of the region electrical safety lessons. A regular session was held in the summer recreation camp "Sunny" in a suburb of Tambov. It was attended by about 300 children and teenagers.

The power engineers told the children about how to behave near grid facilities, introduced them to the basic rules of resuscitation with electric shock. A training simulator "Gosha" was of particular interest with the young audience, at which the power engineers worked out skills in first aid to the victim. After a short briefing of safety engineers of Tambovenergo everyone, who wished, had an opportunity to perform artificial respiration and heart massage to the simulator "Gosha".

Also during the class the children studied signs warning of the danger of electric shock, trained properly to leave the step voltage area, and answered questions of an entertaining quiz.

At the end of the lesson Tambovenergo’s employees handed to all participants copies of the published with the support of IDGC of Centre book-brochure of the children’s writer Vyacheslav Kolesnikov "Energolandiya" and memos with electrical safety requirements, which will help them better assimilate the acquired knowledge.

The electrical safety lessons are part of a larger information campaign carried out by Tambovenergo in the framework of the adopted in IDGC of Centre "Program to prevent electric injuries". The power engineers conduct them throughout the school year in schools, and in the summer - in summer camps of the city and the region. In total, during the summer holidays Tambovenergo’s experts will organize about 20 such sessions, around two thousand children will take part in them.
