Tambovenergo summed up the implementation of safety measures in the first half of the year

IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division summed up the activity in the field of occupational safety and health and ensuring production safety in the first half of 2016.

All planned activities for this period were performed in full. Much attention was paid to providing employees of the Tambovenergo branch with special clothing, footwear and electrical protection gear. In particular, 400 heat-resistant summer suits and 44 sets to protect against induced voltage were purchased. All crews of Distribution Zones were fully provided with portable earthing kits CSZ-0.4 kV and CSZ-10 kV, ensuring safety when working at electrical installations.

And implementation of technical measures continued, which are aimed at preventing injury to third parties. Construction and reconstruction of 6-10 kV overhead lines in densely populated districts and park areas was carried out with the use of self-supporting insulated wire (SIW), which due to the insulation provides a significant reduction in cases of electric shock upon contact. Near power grid facilities, located close to public places and children’s institutions, on the banks of water bodies in places of fishing, additional warning signs were placed.

In total, Tambovenergo spent more than 11.4 million rubles on the implementation of labour protection and production safety in the first half of the year.
