IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division together with the regional offices of the Ministry of Interior of Russia and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Kostroma region conducted in the children’s health centre named after Yu. Belenogov a route game "Safe Childhood Planet" for participants of the shift "Sokolyonok". The game was attended by about 200 children, among them - the most active schoolchildren of the Kostroma region, who earned the right to participate in a special shift on the results of the regional competition, organized by the Regional House of Children and Youth, as well as leaders of public organizations of Moscow and the Vologda region.
Five units of the shift went the safety route, consisting of five stations: "Road Safety Rules", "Special Security Rules", "Fire Safety Rules", "Safety Rules on the Water" and "Electrical Safety". At all the stations the children were able to demonstrate their knowledge of the basics of safety, and, in turn, learned a lot of new and useful information.
At the station "Electrical Safety" the players of the game met a representative of Kostromaenergo. A member of the construction crew "Energy 44" Mark Ryzhov told the children about the danger fraught with electric current, what safety measures are necessary to observe, using electrical appliances, what to do in any given emergency. With the simulator "Gosha" he showed them the rules of rendering first aid to the victim with electric shock.
"The holding of such events on the basis of the shift "Sokolyonok" has become a tradition," says the shift supervisor Dmitry Firago. "During the summer it is especially important to remind children of the need to observe safety measures, including while handling electricity - because with it one way or another we have to do all the time. We are grateful to the organizers for such an interesting and useful "journey" and will wait for them at our place again next year."
Work on the prevention of children’s electric injuries is performed by employees of Kostromaenergo constantly. Every year they hold about two hundred sessions, route games and other events on this topic in schools and children’s holiday camps.
