In early July power engineers of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division took part in the XXVI Summer Games among energy companies of the Smolensk region. The sports games were attended by teams of the branch of PJSC "Quadra" - "Smolensk Generation", LLC "Dorogobuzhskaya TPP", a branch of JSC "AtomEnergoSbyt" - "SmolenskAtomEnergoSbyt", IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division, as well as a team of the students’ construction crew "Energet".
Competitions were prepared and carried out by the management and the trade union organization of Smolenskenergo at the stadium of the city of Yelnya of the Smolensk region. The event was attended by about 500 power engineers (more than half of them - Smolenskenergo’s employees).
The competitions were held in the personal and team standings in ten kinds of sports: volleyball, mini-football, weight lifting, tug of war, athletics, streetball, darts, swimming, chess and table tennis.
Employees Smolenskenergo won first and third place in the volleyball competition, second and third place in the mini-football and weightlifting (team). In the individual competition in kettlebell lifting the 1st place went to a representative of the executive office of the branch Vitaly Golubkov, 3rd place - his colleague from Smolensk City Distribution Zone Alexey Mikhailov.
In the tug of war competition and darts all the prizes went to representatives of Smolenskenergo. In the streetball competition Smolenskenergo’s athletes were 1st and 2nd.
Power engineers of the Smolensk branch of IDGC of Centre also performed well in the athletics competitions: 2nd and 3rd place in the 100m race for women, 3rd in the 100m for men, 1st place in the competition in the long distance for women, 1st and 2nd places for men. Smolenskenergo’s team also excelled in the 4 x 100m relay race: gold in women, 2nd and 3rd place - men. In the team competition in athletics the 1st place went deservedly to the team of the executive office, gaining the maximum number of awards.
In swimming the representatives of the branch took the first and second place in the 50m among women and the first and third places among men. The 1st team place in swimming was taken by athletes from the executive office of Smolenskenergo.
The chess competition in the individual standing among women the 2nd place was received by Irina Zaitseva from the executive office of the branch, 3rd place - Nadezhda Tikhomirova from Safonovsky Distribution Zone. In the team chess competition the executive office of Smolenskenergo took the 3rd place.
On aggregate in the team event among the utilities the winner is IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division.
"Smolenskenergo focuses on promoting healthy lifestyles and sports. The trade union committee of the branch tries to create the conditions so that employees of the branch could more often attend swimming pools, sports facilities," commented the chairman of the primary trade union organization of Smolenskenergo Galina Ryabtseva.
