Orelenergo: reliable energy supply directly depends on the observance of payment discipline

07.07.2016

In connection with more often cases of termination of energy supply contracts of a sales company with consumers due to non-fulfillment of contractual obligations, IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division reminds that according to legal requirements, grid companies implement complete restriction of power supply against defaulters.

Termination of the contractual relationship in accordance with the RF Government Resolution № 861 dated 27.12.2004 is the basis for the suspension of transmission of electricity to the consumer, as his points of delivery are excluded from the agreement, and consumption goes into the category of non-contractual, in other words, illegal.

In order to prevent power outages consumers should strictly comply with the payment discipline, but in the case of formation of the debt immediately take comprehensive steps to resolve this issue with the sales company. An inevitable consequence of the systematic non-payment and the subsequent cancellation of the contract is complete restriction of power supply, which Orelenergo is obliged to enter in connection with the detection of the fact of non-contractual consumption in accordance with para. 121 of the RF Government Resolution № 442 dated 4 May 2012.
