07.07.2016

IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division kicked off the third season of students’ construction crews. The opening ceremony of the summer labour semester was held in early July at the International Institute of Computer Technology (IICT): students of the university energy department will work at facilities of the enterprise.

During six weeks the future power engineers will participate in repair and construction work. The young people will learn the specifics of the profession, operation modes of power grid equipment, the main production cycles. Each member of the construction crew will be assigned with a mentor from among experienced employees of Voronezhenergo, who will direct his work and monitor compliance with labour standards. Before starting work, all the young people will have a safety course and receive the second group of electrical safety.

During the ceremony leaders of Voronezhenergo and IICT addressed to the members of the construction crew with commencement and gave work permits. Then, the young people had a tour to one of the largest and most modern power grid facilities in the region - the 110 kV substation "Central".

"Voronezhenergo has organized the work of students’ construction crews for the third year in a row. Even this short experience has convinced us of the importance and usefulness of this practice. Thanks to the work in the construction crew, the future power engineers will have a unique opportunity to plunge into the profession, learn its subtleties, and as a result by the time of getting their diplomas they already understand in which direction they should move in the chosen profession," stresses the head of the HR office of IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division Evgeny Novikov.
