Implementation of the repair program of Smolenskenergo is in line with planned targets

06.07.2016

For five months of this year IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division in preparation for the upcoming autumn-winter peak loads performed about 28.5% of the annual repair program. It already repaired 12.5 km of power lines of 110 kV, 120.4 km of power lines of 35 kV, 648.671 km of power lines of 0.4-10 kV and 285 transformer substations of 6-10/0.4 kV. About 583 hectares of ROWs along lines were cleared and widened from trees and shrubs, which in bad weather can cause interruptions. Comprehensive overhaul was completed at 7 substations of 35-110 kV.

The repair program of the branch is aimed at ensuring efficiency of operation of power lines and substations, trouble-free operation through the autumn-winter period and a general increase in the reliability of electric grid facilities of the region. Despite the difficult situation in the economy, for these purposes there is no decrease in funding of the repair program and planned activities. A large amount of repair work (according to the plans, it is about 65% of the target amount) the power company performed by own staff, without involvement of contractors. On the one hand, it allows for a certain flexibility and efficiency of decision-making, on the other hand - it reduces costs, while maintaining the planned physical volume of the repair campaign.

When performing repair work at power facilities Smolensk power engineers of IDGC of Centre apply advanced technologies and materials, thereby increasing equipment life and reducing costs for scheduled maintenance. This year, it is planned to spend 190.77 million rubles to ensure a high level of reliability of electricity supply to consumers.
