Hotline of power engineering specialists
Employees of IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division conducted a tour of the 110 kV substation "Central" in Voronezh for the third year students of the Faculty of Engineering and Airfield Support of the Military Training Air Force Centre "Air Force Academy named after Professor N.E. Zhukovsky and Y.A. Gagarin". The event was organized at the request of the Academy management. Due to the fact that graduates of the faculty will have to be engaged in energy supply of airfields and defense equipment, for their better absorption of the training program it will be useful to get an idea of the functioning of the major operating power facility, according to the military institution.
The "Central" substation is the largest strategically important power centre of the Black Soil Region capital, supplying electricity to a number of socially important facilities of the Central district of Voronezh. Voronezhenergo’s experts told the guests of the Academy about its history, about how important it is for the city, the latest technical solutions that were implemented at the power facility in the course of the reconstruction performed there in 2010. And after the meeting they answered questions from the students.
The tour participants thanked the power engineers for organization of the interesting and informative event. "We believe the visit to the modern high-end power facility, familiarization with modern equipment, and most importantly - communication with Voronezhenergo’s specialists will become some great help to our students in the study of core subjects," stressed a senior lecturer of the defense equipment Chair of the Academy Vladimir Chengin.
