IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division solemnly opened the season of construction crews. This summer, as part of the students’ construction crew "Grid worker" third year students of the Orel State Agrarian University and the Orel State University named after Turgenev will work at the company’s facilities, who study at the energy specialties. During the solemn opening ceremony work permits were handed over to the students by Acting Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division director Igor Kolubanov.
The service area of "Grid worker" this summer will be Orlovsky Distribution Zone. Before they get started, the crew members will get acquainted with the technical documentation and the basic programs of the region’s electric grid development, will undergo training on occupational safety and receive the second group of electrical safety, giving the right to work as a crew member at electrical installations without the production of connections, under the leadership of experienced power engineers.
The crew members will participate in planned inspections of transformer substations, power line rounds, taking readings of electricity meters, repair of power facilities, cleaning forest residues when clearing ROWs along 0.4-10 kV overhead lines. Orelenergo will provide the young people with personal protective equipment and protective clothing, their work will be paid in accordance with the law - all the crew members are temporarily employed in the company. The crew "Grid worker" will finish its work in mid-August.
Orelenergo for the third year receives construction crew members. During this time 45 future power engineers could apply their knowledge in practice under the guidance of mentors from among experienced specialists of the company.

For them it is an opportunity to show their skills, and for us - to evaluate them. The industry needs educated young professionals and the construction crew practice allows them to prepare them under our guidance, taking into account the interests and requirements of the company," stresses Acting Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division director Igor Kolubanov.
