IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division has started implementation of an investment project aimed at improving the reliability of electricity supply to customers in Shebekinsky district. The energy company will construct the 35 kV cable line "Murom - New Tavolzhanka" with its length of 17 km and reconstruct four high-voltage substations. The total investment amount will be about 189 million rubles.
Currently, the construction of the cable line has started. It will provide reliable backup of adjacent 35 kV feeding centres and will allow to improve the quality of communication between the power facilities. The project involves the use of the latest equipment and materials: the power engineers are installing the cable line with use of a modern cable with XLPE insulation, more reliable in operation, resistant to corrosive environments, high-capacity, low water absorption and significant life cycle.
The work scope includes the reconstruction of the 35 kV supply centres "Murom", "New Tavolzhanka", the 110 kV substation "Shebekino" in Shebekinsky district and the 110 kV substation "Cheremoshnoye" in Belgorodsky district. At both the 35 kV substations the power engineers will replace sectional oil circuit breakers with modern ones including sets of microprocessor devices of relay protection and automation, upgrade supervisory process control system. At the substation "Murom" they will additionally install a new power transformer capacity of 2,500 kVA, replace auxiliary and voltage transformers. At the 110 kV feeding centres they will replace sets of relay protection and automation devices, at the 35 kV substation "Shebekino - New Tavolzhanka", "Cheremoshnoye - Murom" microprocessor sets of remote protection and control, install arc suppression reactors, which will allow to compensate capacitive currents in the grid at ground fault and prevent the transition of single-phase ground fault to short-circuit of the power grid.
The project implementation will create the necessary conditions for uninterrupted power supply of existing and connection of new customers in the region. At the present time on the territory of Belgorodsky and Shebekinsky districts there are more than 20 major agro-industrial enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses successfully operating. The 35 kV substations "Murom" and "New Tavolzhanka" provide electricity to a feed factory of LLC "Belgorod Bacon", tens of poultry houses of ZAO "White Bird". The substation "Cheremoshnoye" is the main supply centre for the poultry agro-industrial holding "BEZRK - Belgrankorm", and the substation "Shebekino" supplies electricity to customers of the city with the same name.
Work on the construction of the new cable line and reconstruction of the feeding centres is being carried out within the framework of the investment program of IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division, the electric power development scheme of the Belgorod region for 2016 - 2020 and is designed for a two-year period of implementation. The project completion is scheduled for 2017.
