22-24 June at the training centre of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division the final competition of professional skills among the personnel for repair and maintenance of 0.4 - 10 kV distribution grids passed. They were attended by crews, who won the first place in the qualifying competitions in their Distribution Zones.
The competition included seven steps: checking the knowledge of the rules, regulations and standards; release of a victim with electric shock and providing him with first aid; replacement of a defective insulator at a 0.4-10 kV package transformer substation; replacement of insulated wire on an overhead line (Conductor) of 0.4 kV at the intersection with a 10 kV Conductor; calculation and measurement of the "phase-zero" loop resistance of 0.4 kV grid; replacing a concrete intermediate pole on a 10 kV overhead line; extinguishing a fire in an electrical installation. Work of the crews was assessed by the principal judicial commission, composed of heads of production and technical services of Kurskenergo.
First place in the professional competitions was taken by the crew of Rylsky Distribution Zone. Second place went to the team of Oktyabrsky Distribution Zone. Representatives of Dmitrievsky Distribution Zone were ranked third.
A crew master for maintenance of distribution grids from Dmitrievsky Distribution Zone Igor Chebyshev, an electrician for operation of distribution grids from Rylsky Distribution Zone Alexander Khandurin, an electrician of a first responding mobile crew from Oktyabrsky Distribution Zone Mikhail Nosorev were recognized the best in the profession.
The crews, which were prize winners and the best in the profession, were awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts.
The youngest competitor - an electrician of a first responding mobile crew from Kastorensky Distribution Zone Alexander Bolkhovskoy and the participant with the largest trade union experience - an electrician of a first responding mobile crew from Dmitrievsky Distribution Zone Nikolay Surzhikov were awarded special prizes by the trade union of Kurskenergo.
Summing up the results of the competitions, First Deputy Director - Chief Engineer of "Kurskenergo" Vyacheslav Istomin noted that they provide a good opportunity to identify the typical errors made when performing work, studying and summarizing with the purpose of the subsequent introduction into the practice of excellence in operation, repair and maintenance of grids. All this as a result contributes to the quality and safety of operations.
