One of the main types of services provided by IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division is grid connection of facilities of legal entities, in particular focusing on grid connection of small and medium-sized businesses.
So by the end of 2015 the branch carried out about 4,600 grid connections with a total capacity of over 98 MW, providing electricity not only to residents of the Smolensk region, but also dozens of companies, where they will be able to work later. Among the 92 facilities of small and medium businesses the maximum capacity of 15 to 150 kW, connected in the past year, was at workshops for the production of furniture in Rudnya, for the production of paving slabs in the small village of Mikhnovka in Smolensk district, for the production of sausages in the city of Vyazma, a joiner’s shop in the city of Sychevka and sawmills, farms, office and administration buildings, hotels, cafes, shops and parking lots in different districts of the region.
Important facilities of small and medium businesses, connected in 2016, were a cattle farm of LLC "Bryansk Meat Company" in Roslavlsky district, a coffee shop in Smolensk district, a shopping mall of LLC "StroyTrend" in the city of Safonovo, shops in Safonovsky, Krasninsky , Yartsevsky, Roslavlsky districts and the city of Smolensk, a farm of LLC "The farm" in Temkinsky district, a modular boiler on solid fuel of LLC "SBC" in Ugransky district, as well as several residences. Among them, the most energy-intensive facility of the grid connection at the moment is a shop in Safonovsky district with its capacity of 120 kW.
It is worth noting that some of the facilities are performed with own forces, i.e. by own staff, without the involvement of contractors.
In the near future Smolenskenergo will provide electricity to new facilities of small and medium businesses in various districts of the region, contracts with which have already been signed and work on connection to electric grids has been started. Among them it is LLC "Unicom", LLC "RR-Smolensk", "Firm Contract", LLC "Vostok-Service", LLC "Lisa".
When connecting facilities of small and medium-sized businesses to its grids as soon as possible, Smolenskenergo, in turn, contributes to the development of entrepreneurship in the Smolensk region.
