In the first quarter of 2016 IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division completed 1,078 previously filed applications for connection to electric grids in the region. According to the grid connection Office, total connected capacity of new customers totalled 34.2 MW.
Requests made by individuals (capacity up to 15 kW) are 1,096.51% more than from legal entities. Total capacity of connected in the 1st quarter facilities of natural persons amounted to 10.69 MW.
The most energy-intensive grid connection this year was a facility of the legal entity - LLC "Tekhnobit-Safonovo" with its power of 900 kW.
The bulk of executed contracts for grid connection in the 1st quarter (85.16%), as in previous periods, refers to the privileged category of applicants (individuals who pay 550 rubles for the connection of up to 15 kW). Of the total number of applications implemented since the beginning of the year for "discounted customers" specialists of the energy company performed 943. Smolenskenergo’s own costs for construction of grid infrastructure for the "discounted customers" exceeded 122.75 million rubles.
The largest number of connected customers, wishing to connect to the power grid of Smolenskenergo their individual buildings on favourable terms, was traditionally recorded in Smolensky, Gagarinsky and Vyazemsky districts.
During the first quarter the branch received 1,070 new requests for a total capacity of 26.59 MW, work on which has already begun or will begin soon. The number of applications for grid connection constantly grows - this indicates steady growth in consumer demand for the service "Implementation of grid connection", which favourably affects the socio-economic development of the region.
"It is worth noting that in a short time the conditions of grid connection have become much simpler, the terms of the service provision have been reduced to a minimum," explains the head of the grid connection office Sergei Lapin. "So, thanks to the start of provision of a new service to the Smolensk region this year as "Grid connection support", under which the branch executes as requested by the customer all necessary procedures on the part of the applicant, the grid connection procedure has become more comfortable for applicants."
