The picked team of young specialists of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division and masters of Lipetsk State Technical University took the 3rd place in the organized by IDGC of Centre in-person qualifying round of the electric power league of the International Engineering Championship solving engineering cases "Case-In". It took place at the site of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov involving 11 teams of specialized partner universities of IDGC of Centre, each - consisting of 3-4 members of students’ construction crews in 2016.
Their presentation with a description and justification of a technical solution to create an optimal power supply circuit of a settlement deserved positive evaluation of the expert commission.
The championship "Case-In" is the biggest practice-oriented project that takes place in the competition format to solve engineering cases (practical problems) among students in the field of fuel and energy and mineral industries. It is held for the fourth consecutive year in the framework of an action plan aimed at promoting working and engineering professions. It has been attended by more than three thousand future engineers from 48 universities of the country, including teams of specialized partner universities of IDGC of Centre.
"We are particularly proud of the victory of the Lipetsk team because its participants are members of a students’ construction crew of "Lipetskenergo". They have demonstrated a high professional capacity - knowledge, erudition, ability to work in a team. And, of course, cooperation with our long-standing partner institution - Lipetsk Technical University, whose graduates annually join the ranks of power engineers," commented the head of HR department of "Lipetskenergo" Ekaterina Mushnikova.
