01.06.2016

In anticipation of the long summer holidays specialists of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division conducted electrical safety lessons for first graders of gymnasium № 12 in the city of Lipetsk.

In doing so, they were helped by pupils of form 2. In poetic form, with a demonstration of striking posters, they told the kids how to safely handle electrical appliances at home and how to behave in high-risk areas - near power facilities.

The power engineers reminded the schoolchildren that upon detection of sagging or broken wire, you must immediately report it to an adult. Mortally dangerous is not only touching, but also approaching closer than 8 metres. You must not make selfie near power facilities, particularly with the use of a monopod. Mortally dangerous is to fish near power lines due to electric shock through rods and spinning rods, made of conductive materials. It is strictly forbidden to enter a transformer substation, opening doors of switchboards and other electrical devices.

To consolidate the material the young participants were handed booklets on electrical safety.

In the opinion of the leaders of the institution, the lessons were relevant and timely.

In total, for the period from January to May of this year specialists of "Lipetskenergo" held in the Lipetsk region 40 such meetings in educational institutions.

Lessons on electrical safety - it is only one of the forms of work with children and adolescents, as part of the electric injury prevention program implemented by "Lipetskenergo". During the summer the power company’s experts will continue this work in schoolyards and recreation camps.

Prevention of electric injuries is carried out by the branch in several directions - holding a set of appropriate technical measures, awareness-raising work with the public through the media, cooperation with the responsible authorities and the General Directorate of EMERCOM in the Lipetsk region.

"On the eve of the summer holidays, when many children are left without adult supervision, the risk of electric shock increases. Basic knowledge of the rules of electrical safety can save from a possible disaster. It is about them we and our wonderful young assistants told the first-graders. Judging by the active response of the children and the correct answers to the questions, they have learned the electrical safety rules at "A"," commented a leading specialist of the public relations department of "Lipetskenergo" Natalia Nefedova.
