Kurskenergo reminds of the need to comply with safety regulations in protected areas of power transmission lines

25.05.2016

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division refers to heads of enterprises, organizations and individuals with a reminder of the need to comply with the established in accordance with applicable law boundaries of protected zones of power lines. Any violation of the rules of use of territories in the buffer zone of power lines involves a real threat to human life and health, as well as the safety of their property.

Kurskenergo’s specialists constantly work to identify such facts. Since the beginning of 2016 on the territory of the Kursk region the power engineers recorded 15 cases of non-compliance with the existing rules, as a result of which the safe operation of power grid facilities was broken, and electrical equipment was damaged.

Thus, when performing agricultural work in Khomutovsky district a tractor driver hit a 10 kV pole. As a result of the traffic accident electricity supply of residents of the village of Rodionovka was interrupted. Damage to the company amounted to about 25 thousand rubles.

Disregarding regulatory requirements was also demonstrated by workers of LLC "Basis-Direct" in Soviet district. They, without coordination with the grid company, carried out excavation work on the territory of CJSC "Agricultural complex" Mansurovo", resulting in a damaged section of the 10 kV cable line. The damage amounted to about 40 thousand rubles, the energy company was fully compensated.

Unauthorized tree cutting in the buffer zone of a power line resulted in the same negative consequences. In Kursk district as a result of the fall of a cut tree wires of an overhead line were broken, consumers of eight settlements were left without electricity. Only prompt actions of crews of "Kurskenergo" allowed as soon as possible to restore the interrupted power supply.

For all identified violations the power company prepared documents to be sent to the relevant authorities.

When there is a failure of power lines and other power equipment damage, please, immediately report by the direct telephone line of power engineers at 8-800-50-50-115 or 13-50 (toll-free).
