IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division continues systematic work on prevention of children’s electric injuries. Before school holidays the power company with the support of regional and municipal education authorities is implementing a set of measures, which aim to teach schoolchildren the rules of safe handling of electricity.
Bryanskenergo’s experts addressed to heads of district departments of education of the Bryansk region to conduct lessons on electrical safety and place leaflets on school websites, in created sections "Energy Safety", which contain the basic rules for safe handling of electricity. Through the Regional Department of Education and Science and Education Department of the Bryansk City Administration the power engineers delivered to schools of the region materials for training on electrical safety, adapted to different age groups of schoolchildren (posters, rulers, timetables, reminders for parents, manuals with lessons development for teachers, and so on). The Regional Emergency Office and the Russian Interior Ministry also received them, which under agreements concluded with the enterprise now effectively collaborate with Bryanskenergo in the field of prevention of children’s electric injuries.
The power company organized for schoolchildren of the Bryansk region a drawing contest "Safe Electricity", the results of which will be announced in late May. On screens, located in large shopping centres of the city of Bryansk, on the initiative of Bryanskenergo videos on electrical safety are broadcast. During the summer months the branch plans to show them on a large LED screen on Lenin Square in the centre of Bryansk - this place is visited by a large number of children and adolescents. Also, on the initiative of Bryanskenergo in Bryansk cinemas before children’s films cartoons are shown on the prevention of children’s electric injuries and radio stations regularly transmit messages about the need to comply with electrical safety regulations.
In June workers of Distribution Zones of Bryanskenergo are planning to hold in the country wellness and school camps preventive conversations on "Safe Electricity".
Bryanskenergo reiterates: Electricity is dangerous! Since the beginning of 2016 in several regions of Russia there have been cases of children’s fatalities recorded. Compliance with the basic rules of safe location near power facilities and use of electrical appliances will save the lives and health of children and adults.
