Smolenskenergo continues to work on the collection of receivables

23.05.2016

IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division continues to perform claim-related work to collect receivables for services on electric power transmission and electricity supply during the execution of the functions of the electric power supplier of last resort in the territory of the Smolensk region.

In May 2016 it was the fourth this year’s meeting of the finance commission of the branch, which has the whole debt of defaulters under control. The meeting summed up the activity for the past period of repayment of the receivable. It is worth noting that consumers of services owe the Smolensk branch of IDGC of Centre more than 2.6 billion rubles for services rendered in electric power transmission and power supply. The actual value of the outstanding receivables at 01.05.2016 is 2.6 billion rubles (including the debt of the former supplier of last resort JSC "Smolenskenergobyt" of 1.5 billion rubles, which is being repaid in bankruptcy proceedings). Despite the fact that in April 2016 the total arrears of consumers decreased by 22.8 million rubles, due to the partial payment of arrears by a supplier of the second level JSC "Oboronenergosbyt", the dynamics of growth of arrears on the worst offenders is maintained. So, CJSC "RAAZ AMO ZIL" increased its arrears by 5.3 million rubles, the growth of arrears of bankrupt consumers OJSC "Iceberg", LLC "Firm "Heat" amounted to 0.7 million rubles.

As part of the work with non-payers IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division does claim-related work, as well as actively cooperates with the regional authorities to collect receivables. Questions of payment for electricity transmission are regularly reviewed as part of the regional commission for development of the policy of repayment and restructuring of the debt for the previously consumed fuel and energy resources at the Smolensk Administration. At the commission’s meeting defaulters are heard, specific dates are set to them and repayment schedules of accumulated debts are formed.

Smolenskenergo notes that defaulters’ actions jeopardize the reliability of electricity supply to consumers in the Smolensk region, since the proceeds for electric power transmission services rendered Smolenskenergo spends primarily towards financing the core production activities. Therefore, the branch intends to consistently continue the work on collecting receivables, using all mechanisms envisaged by the current legislation.

Smolenskenergo urges those, who have not yet repaid their arrears for electricity transmission services, to do so in the near future.
