The first day of this year’s Fire Safety was held in May 2016 in offices of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division, responsible for operation and maintenance of power equipment, structures and buildings, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles, as well as storage facilities. Similar events are held in the branch at least once every 6 months.
The Fire Safety Day is held in order to prevent violations and deviations from the requirements of normative documents on fire safety, as well as raising the level of theoretical knowledge of personnel in the field of fire safety and practical skills to use primary fire extinguishing means.
The branch’s offices were checked for the status of fire safety and equipment they are responsible for (staffing with primary fire extinguishing agents, the order of storage, accounting and control of their condition, conditions of carriage, inspection of the fire protection state of premises, areas, equipment, etc.).
During the fire safety day the personnel reviewed occurred fires, worked on the fire safety instructions, regulatory documents on fire safety of the company, discussed basic violations of fire safety requirements based on the results of inspections of fire-technical commissions. There were also workshops conducted at the site for fire extinguishing training.
According to the specialists, the main principle in the organization and realization of industrial activity of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division is to ensure the priority of life and health of staff, safe keeping of equipment, buildings and structures in terms of fire safety.
