Kurskenergo picked the best crew of maintenance of substation equipment

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division held a competition of specialists in repair and maintenance of equipment of 35-110 kV substations. Crews of the Central, Eastern, Western and Southern production sections of the branch took part in them. The aim of the competition was improving the professional training of repair, operation and maintenance personnel, introduction and dissemination of the best practices.

The competition was held at training centres equipped with the necessary equipment, allowing to carry out work in conditions close to real. The competition program included four stages: one theoretical and three practical. In the theoretical part the participants using the software "Centurion" demonstrated knowledge of existing rules, regulations and standards. The practical part included work to change oil and silica gel in the dehumidifier filter of a 110 kV power transformer, repair and adjustment of 110 kV disconnectors, release of a victim out of electric shock and provision of first aid.

The winner of the competition was the crew of the Western section, which showed the best results in the stages.

A master of the substation service of ​​the Western section Dmitry Maul was recognized as "Best in Profession". "Best Work Performer" was an electrician for switchgear equipment repair Oleg Mozgov, and "Best Electrical Fitter" with the score was Gennady Kolotkov, an electrician for switchgear equipment repair of the Southern section.

The winning crew received a trimmer - a necessary tool in the work. All the distinguished in the categories were awarded gift certificates.

"Competitions are aimed at raising the level of professional training and safe work at power facilities in the period of massive repairs," stressed First Deputy Director - Chief Engineer of "Kurskenergo" Vyacheslav Istomin. "For the crews these activities are a good opportunity to communicate with each other and share their experience in the maintenance of substation equipment."
