29.04.2016

Staff of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division conducted lessons on electrical safety in eight schools of Pristensky and Belovsky districts of the Kursk region. They were attended by about 150 pupils.

The power engineers told the children how it is dangerous to approach power installations and broken wires, to climb poles of overhead power lines, throwing wire, and other objects on conductors; they recalled the basic rules for handling electricity.

For younger children the classes were organized in the form of an entertaining game, and accompanied by a display of cartoons on electrical safety. High school pupils took part in practical training in first aid to the victim with electric shock with a training simulator "Gosha". At the end of the classes the power engineers gave the schoolchildren the book "Energolandiya" where there are published entertaining themed games, puzzles, quizzes, colouring books, and teachers - posters containing the rules of safe handling of electric current.

"The children received a lot of useful information," says the class teacher of the 4th "A" form of "Belovskaya Secondary School" Lyubov Kalashnikova. "I hope that in life they will not have to apply their knowledge, but if this happens - they will help save their lives and health. We are always glad to see the power engineers in the walls of our school."
